2017 Harvest Youth Grant Recipients

Nakia Navarro

Via a participatory grantmaking process, the Grassroots Fund launched the Harvest Youth Grant Program in 2017. The focus of the Harvest Youth Grant was to fund frontline youth organizers between the ages of 15 - 25 leading initiatives that strengthen our region’s sustainability movement.  The program made a significant investment in young adults throughout New England and we are pleased to share the work of the sixteen groups received a Harvest Youth Grant!

In an effort to continue and expand the program, the Grassroots Fund has decided to rename the Harvest Youth Grant Program to the Young Adult Leaders Grant Program. This program will continue its momentum by awarding grants to groups led by young adults between the ages of 15-25. Grants will be awarded to groups who strongly align with the Grassroots Fund Guiding Values, organize projects within at least two issue areas, and incorporate both social and environmental justice themes in their project.
