After Applying:

Grow Review Process (expect a decision within 3 months of submitting application):

  • You will receive a confirmation email that you have successfully submitted your Grow application;
  • Grassroots Fund staff will reach out to your group's contact person to schedule a phone interview no later than 6 weeks after the deadline;
  • The Grantmaking Committee meets no later than 10 weeks after the deadline and collectively makes funding decisions;
  • The Board reviews and ultimately approves the final recommendations of the Committee within 2 weeks of the meeting;
  • Upon Board approval, Grassroots Fund staff emails the group's contact person notifying them of the decision;

  • Approved applicants are emailed a Grant Agreement Letter which needs to be signed and sent back to the NEGEF office;

  • Checks are cut and mailed to the groups upon receipt of the signed Grant Agreement Letter.

  • Reporting requirement: Final Reports are due after funds are expended or 1 year after the grant agreement letter is received.
