Speakers:
Julia Dundorf, Executive Director -- Julia has been Executive Director of the Grassroots Fund since October 2014. She has nearly two decades of experience forming and working with nonprofits and community engagement programs. Complementing her experience in energy and climate change solutions, she has a background in nonprofit development, management and board participation in the broader fields of environmental sustainability, low-income housing solutions, domestic violence and business environmental sustainability.
Nakia Navarro, Program Director -- Nakia joined the Grassroots Fund in July 2016 and her nonprofit experience spans well over fifteen years. Prior to joining the Grassroots Fund, Nakia the New England Regional Director at Let’s Get Ready which provides low-income high school students with support services to both enter and complete college. Nakia volunteers her time by speaking to youth about her career and how to become a community organizer. She also volunteers as a board member of both the WBGH Community Advisory Board and the Rise Above Foundation Board.
Ally Philip, Program Manager -- Ally joined the Grassroots Fund in February 2015 while completing her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Conservation Studies at the University of New Hampshire, which she received in May 2015. In her role at the Grassroots Fund, Ally has administered over 300 Seed grants and assisted in the development and implementation of the Harvest grant program. Ally also plays a key role in planning, implementing, and coordinating the RootSkills Training Series.
