The purpose of Promoting Conflict Resolution, Inc. (PCR, Inc.) is to help create safe, supportive, and thriving communities where youth and families can grow, learn, and succeed. PCR, Inc recognizes that young people are an important part of the communities in which they live, attend school, and interact with others. Creating safer communities requires not only addressing violence when it occurs, but also giving youth the skills, guidance, positive relationships, and opportunities needed to prevent conflict before it escalates.Through conflict resolution education, family advocacy, youth development, mentoring, and programs such as Chess for Peace, PCR, Inc equips young people with practical tools to communicate effectively, manage emotions, understand the consequences of their choices, and resolve disagreements in nonviolent ways. At the same time, we work with parents and caregivers to strengthen the family unit, establish healthy boundaries, and create consistent systems of support.Our goal is to empower youth to recognize that they belong to their community and have both the opportunity and responsibility to contribute positively to it. By investing in youth and strengthening families, PCR, Inc works to build communities where young people can progress safely, respect themselves and others, and develop into responsible and engaged members of their community.
