Mis Fuertes Raíces was created to provide Latina girls with a space where they can feel seen, connected, confident, and strong sense of identity and belonging.  Our overall goal is to create meaningful, culturally responsive experiences that help girls build confidence, strengthen their connection to their heritage, express themselves creatively, and recognize their ability to make a positive difference in their families and communities.Through hands-on activities, conversations, creative arts, and community-based experiences, we encourage girls to explore identity, wellness, relationships, education, community responsibility, and conscious living. Mis Fuertes Raíces inspires young people to recognize that small, everyday choices can create positive change within their families, communities, and environment. Through culturally responsive, hands-on programming, Latina girls explore conscious living through creative reuse, reducing waste, valuing resources, supporting community-based economies, and learning from cultural traditions that have long emphasized resourcefulness and making the most of what we have.Rather than simply teaching sustainability as a concept, we provide opportunities for girls to practice it through creative projects, community activities, and conversations about how the choices we make—what we purchase, reuse, share, create, and support—can contribute to healthier and more connected communities.
