Our Purpose

The mission of Positive Street Art is to inspire a passion for the urban arts in a productive way and to build strong communities through educational workshops, community events, and artistic services. PSA amplifies under-resourced communities through programming, events and exhibitions with long term partners. The organization is deeply rooted in the transformative power of underrepresented traditional and folk arts based in the core tenets of hip hop, like performance art, graffiti writing, break dancing, and utilizing the mind—each a vital expression of identity and resilience within demographics served by Positive Street Art’s strategic inter-organizational programming and public events. These art practices, and the community found within their creation and culture, have historically served as vessels of resistance, pride, and unity, often born from neighborhoods which face financial burdens. Channeling these rich traditions to inspire new generations helps to  embrace the arts which have empowered and elevated multitudinous peoples in New Hampshire and America at large.
