BU Nutrition & Dietetics Club
Our Purpose
BU Nutrition and Dietetics Club (BUNDC) is committed to fostering a community centered around nutrition, health, and wellness by balancing a mix of academic networking with social initiatives. Our broader goal is to extend these values beyond campus. Recently, BUNDC has decided to collaborate with the International Institute of New England (IINE), a non-profit organization with in Lowell that supports refugees through social, economic, and legal opportunities. IINE supports 100+ families and children that rely on weekly community meal services. BUNDC seeks to create a baking initiative that complements these weekly provisions with something equally important; emotional nourishment through freshly baked sweet treats. Our work is grounded in the belief that food is not simply sustenance but a powerful medium of comfort, hope, and normalcy in times of hardship. Ultimately, we strive to uplift these individuals and remind them that even in difficult circumstances, care and community are beside them.
