Our Purpose

At EvoNatura, our big-picture goal is to solve the plastic waste crisis by engineering plastics with an expiration date. We believe the fundamental flaw of modern plastics is their permanence—the fact that items used for minutes, like a toothbrush or a takeout container, are designed to last forever. Our group formed to bridge the gap between material performance and ecological safety, ensuring that plastic waste no longer outlives the people who use it.We do this work because current solutions are often incomplete; many compostable plastics fail to break down in real-world environments like home compost or soil. Our overall goal is to transform these materials from the inside out using proprietary, thermally stable microbial additives. These allow bioplastics to biodegrade safely and completely in natural settings without requiring expensive industrial processing.By providing a drop-in solution that works with existing manufacturing equipment, we aim to make high-impact sustainability accessible and scalable. We are driven by the vision of a circular economy where human-made materials mirror the cycles of nature—performing their function when needed and returning safely to the earth when their job is done. Ultimately, we work to prove that we can maintain our modern standard of living without leaving a permanent footprint on the planet’s ecosystems.
