Thomas Lumpkin Spread Love Music Production Company was founded in Hartford in 2023 by lifelong resident Thomas Lumpkin. After years of witnessing the struggles many of his neighbors faced—families experiencing hardship, individuals without stable housing, and young people growing up without positive outlets—Thomas felt a calling to turn his passion for music into something that could serve the community.Music had always been a source of strength and healing in Thomas’s life. During difficult moments, it gave him hope and reminded him that people can still come together, even when times are hard. He began to imagine using music not just as entertainment, but as a way to bring people together and support those who needed it most.What started as a simple idea—to host free concerts where everyone in the community could feel welcome—quickly grew into something larger. Today, the organization brings people together through community beautification events, meals for individuals experiencing homelessness, and holiday toy drives for children in need.At its heart, the organization exists to remind people that compassion, culture, and community still matter. Through music and service, Thomas and his team aim to spread love, restore pride in Hartford neighborhoods, and create spaces where every person feels valued and supported.
