Bear Grounds Coffee Co. was formed after recognizing that wildlife conservation often feels distant and inaccessible to everyday people, even though human behavior is one of the primary factors affecting animal survival. We wanted to create a model where ordinary daily actions could directly support conservation and education. By connecting something familiar — coffee — with environmental impact, we make participation simple and approachable.Our overarching goal is to protect bear species and their habitats while also improving how humans and wildlife coexist. Through public education, community outreach, and partnerships with rehabilitation and conservation efforts, we work to reduce harmful interactions, increase awareness, and encourage responsible stewardship. We also aim to make conservation understandable for all ages, especially children, because long-term protection depends on future generations valuing wildlife.We chose to do this work because six of the eight bear species are threatened, and many of the dangers they face are human-caused. We believe conservation must include both protection of animals and education of people. Our project exists to give wildlife a voice and to show that small, consistent community actions can lead to lasting environmental impact. Ultimately, our goal is to build a culture of awareness where conservation becomes part of everyday life rather than a distant concept.
