Our mission is to create inter-generational gatherings rooted in wisdom, aimed at revitalizing earth-based community through traditionally inspired healing ceremonies, councils, rites of passage and the sacred arts.  By creating a community that invites indigenous elders to share their wisdom in sacred ceremony, we can better embody their teachings as individuals, families, and communities healing ourselves and our world for future generations. Central elements of these gatherings are:  1) Family inclusion as a focus, integrating the various needs of different generations.  2)Teachings offered by indigenous elders or appropriately shared by community members.  3) Sacred fire, which may be tended day and night.  4) Continuous drumbeat aligning with the rhythm of the human heart in resonance with Earth. 5)Talking circles as a safe space to speak, listen, connect, learn and heal (which families can incorporate as a form of shared power in their own homes).  6) Sacred art & expression, including song, music, dance & prayer as a way to increase hope. This ceremony, inspired by the resilience-building councils that wove social, political and spiritual structures together for many native cultures, demonstrates how humans that came before us met systems of oppression by organizing themselves in ways that nurture joy, connection, physical/emotional healing and collective expression as a commitment to human dignity and liberation.
