Our purpose is to... To whom it may concern,  Saint John Vianney Parish is pleased to present this proposal for your review. A group of parishioners and community members are working on creating a community garden. The purpose of the garden is to grow food for the local food shelf to provide those in need with fresh produce. The garden committee will tend to the garden daily throughout the season and donate the harvested crops directly to the food shelf.  Due to the housing crisis, limited jobs and financial instability, Vermonters are in greater need of fresh food supply now more than ever. Cheap and accessible food is often highly processed and lacks vitamins and nutrients that are essential to maintain health. The goal is to provide those in need with fresh and sustainable food.  Over the last year, the garden committee has been preparing for this project and are in need of financial support. The cost of compost, fencing, tilling and water for the project is expected to cost about $1,500. We are asking for your support to help fund this endeavor. A monetary or supply donation is greatly appreciated and will go directly toward feeding people with food insecurities.  Thank you for taking the time to consider this proposal.
