The purpose of More Women+ Surf is to increase the accessibility of Maine's outdoor spaces to underserved, underestimated, or marginalized community members, with a focus on board sports and outdoor equity. We are a women-led organization, with a programmatic outreach focus on BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and women+ individuals, while also using our resources and local partnerships to serve the broader community. We aim to create a more inclusive and equitable outdoor community by providing water-based, skill-building surf clinics and beachside events that celebrate and amplify diverse voices in southern Maine, and collaborate with community partners so BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals can thrive collectively, and foster connections through community.
