OARS 3 Rivers is dedicated to protecting, improving, and preserving the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord rivers and watershed for all people and wildlife. Founded in 1986 as the Organization for the Assabet River (OAR) by a group of concerned citizens, our commitment evolved in 2011 when we expanded our mission to include the Sudbury and Concord rivers to become OARS. Today, our work spans policy and advocacy, scientific water quality testing, ecological restoration, climate resiliency projects, equitable access to recreational opportunities, and nature-based educational programs for children ages 5–10.
