Idori was founded with the vision of instilling sustainable habits in young minds through engaging, fun, and educational resources. Our goal is to foster an understanding and appreciation for the environment in children during their early developmental years. We believe that by teaching kids about sustainability through imaginative stories, interactive plush toys, and hands-on activities, we can make sustainability second nature for future generations.Our mission is driven by the alarming gap in environmental education for young children. Although children start developing values, biases, and behaviors as early as three years old, sustainability topics such as climate change often aren’t covered in the US education system until middle or high school. Therefore, kids aren’t engaged with the importance of environmental stewardship until after their most formative years of development.We have created a range of products, including storybooks, plush toys, curriculum,and online resources, that align with early childhood development and educational standards. Our characters, such as Benjy the Treehopper, Flo the Ocean-Dweller, and Geebo the Puffball, each teach kids about different aspects of environmental stewardship in a fun and relatable way.By partnering with educational institutions to make sustainable habit development more fun, engaging and meaningful, we aspire to create a world where eco-consciousness is a fundamental part of childhood education and daily life.
