V2V Connections
Our Purpose
The purpose of V2V is to promote health, well-being, and social connections in the Danville community by implementing and managing the Danville Village to Village Master Plan, the Danville Train Station restoration and repurposing project, integration of the Vermont Lamoille Valley Rail Trail (LVRT) project, and develop and promote plans to grow the recreation economy throughout Danville. The purpose of this plan is to enhance and improve connections within the community with a focus on the LVRT. Opportunities for recreation, shopping, and socializing are abundant throughout Danville; however, the connection gaps between the activity centers of Danville Village, West Danville, North Danville; and essential services like the school, library, churches, grocery shopping; and attractions like lodging, restaurants, Joe's Pond public beach, the town forest, and other recreation areas can limit a person's enjoyment of being in Danville. Especially if someone would like to walk or bike rather than use a motor vehicle. The revitalization and renovation of the 152-year-old train station as a new century transportation hub and LVRT Trailhead (just completed in fall 2025) is the first step in the implementation of the V2V master plan.
