Our Purpose

We are a group of farmers, thinkers, doers, builders, and friends living in the East Valley of the White River Watershed in Randolph. The past three growing seasons we worked together to cooperatively purchase seeds, plant starts, transplant seedlings, mulch, grow crops, harvest food, save seeds, plant cover crops, and do it all over again. We are growing organic food for our community: some of us think of it as “community”-steading instead of “home”-steading. We grew thousands of onions, garlic heads, and potatoes for the past two years with the intent to distribute to anyone who may need them. We all love growing food and providing for our community. We believe access to real, nourishing food can heal: ourselves, our soils, our fractured relationships with each other. We are at an inflection point in our work - we would like to begin to offer in-season produce to whoever may need it. To be able to do this, we are planning to build a Pay What You Can (PWYC) Farmstand.
