The purpose of the Leland Street Cooperative Garden is to serve the community by providing an open public green space where neighbors can gather and work together to grow and harvest freshly grown healthy food as well as strengthen the community. The garden also provides lawn space where neighbors can socialize, learn from one another and share cultural events, like concerts. We engage the community in resource conscious living applying permaculture principles through workshops and daily encounters with people walking through our garden.
