Friends of Adrian Hall was formed by a group of local skateboarders to facilitate the rebirth of a downtown Providence park as a healthy public space for skateboarding. Under the fiscal sponsorship of the Partnership for Providence Park, we have designed, built and now steward and program a newly renovated park on Adrian Hall Way that reopened as Trinity Skate Spot on May 18, 2018. We built this with the support of a coalition of city departments, elected officials, neighbording businesses and non profits, private donors, the Tony Hawk Foundation, and most importantly local skateboarders. The foundation of our success is the power of ground up, grassroots determination of the shape of public space.
