Here at The Lakes Region Food Pantry, we recently celebrated our seventh year in operation. We have been able to help families from over 20 communities in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Since we opened, we have served over 500 families. Those who utilize our services are qualifying low-income families residing in New Hampshire. Along with providing food to clients on a weekly basis, we have implimented several other outreach programs. Our monthly voucher program provides our clients with access to fresh produce, meats, and eggs from local grocers. Our hands-on cooking classes have been a great way for us to form relationships with our clients, learning how to better serve our community while learning how to make nutritous meals. And our annual Got Lunch program allows children to receive quality foods throughout the summer.  We belive that access to healthy foods is only a part of the process; educating and helping each individual to feel empowered is just as important.Now, in the throes of the Covid-19 crisis, our need for funding is critical as there has been an influx of new clients. We have been able to maintain safe boundaries through the ability to mail vouchers to those in need of food. In order to keep this service running for an indefinite period of time, we need your help.
