Our Purpose

Women's Mentoring Network promotes financial independence, economic security, economic mobility and asset building through employment and educational services for low-income women and their families. Women's Mentoring Network is an established non-profit organization that was founded in 1990. The goal of the organization is for each client to become financially empowered and independent. Economic empowerment fosters positive life expectations and is the most effective strategy against homelessness, hunger and social disorder. It is the most effective way to break the cycle of generational poverty. Supporting pathways to economic security is an investment in building a skilled workforce.  Programs & services focus on Workforce Development and Financial Literacy. In addition to one-on-one services, we offer Life Skills Workshops where professionals from the community present to our clients. Women's Mentoring Network also distributes food from our Food Pantry to the women and their families. Donated clothing is also provided. Financial assistance is provided on an as-needed basis.
