Our purpose is to...support better lives and livelihoods, promote rural economic development and enhance the vitality of Bethlehem’s Main Street. We have fulfilled our purpose by using our retail store and gallery to provide local artists and makers a place to display and sell their handcrafted products. We have helped local businesses, entrepreneurs and artists create, develop and grow their businesses by providing technical assistant (TA) training in the forms of classes, workshops, networking events and one-on-one advising sessions. We have enhanced the vitality of Bethlehem by organizing First Friday gallery receptions, pop-up events and community workshops and classes. Historically, all of our offerings have been delivered face-to-face. We are now working on shifting all of our offerings to virtual delivery formats and are working with local partners such as the Northern Community Investment Corporation (NCIC) to develop new offerings that help local businesses, entrepreneurs, makers and producers to change their business models (move their business online) or learn about current resources to help them to survive this unprecedented situation.
