Our purpose is to eliminate food insecurity, especially among our seniors. In this, our seventh year, we will have vegetables donated from UFI, Allendale Farm, Food Project, Boston Area Gleaners and Dudley Grows every week during the growing season. We are in conversation with The Trustees and Pleasant Hill Baptist Church's farm.We also have increased our weekly bread donations from When Pigs Fly to four or five days a week. We had a partnership with Amazon to secure the donation of all food items nearing expiration. May 25, 2022 they advised that they had too many donation partners, and would be dropping us.At present we service three Boston housing Authority senior buildings. In the past, we have delivered to each of these locations at least once a month. We received a surprise delivery from Loving Spoonfuls. To ensure we remain eligible for this donation, we have decided to renovate the garage for storage and refrigeration. This would make us eligible for donation from Boston Food Bank.
