Our purpose is to gather together the residents of our neighborhood to work to make it a good place to live, not simply a pass through for too many cars in one of the few east-west corridors in Chittenden County.  We want traffic calming devices such as flowers, murals, creative signage that keep pedestrians and bikers of all ages safe and give the drivers of cars and trucks peaceful moments as they rush to work, school or shopping.  We want to bring together all of the residents, home owners, university students and others who live in apartments, all knowing that their needs and interests are being given attention and work.  At the same time, we aim to let people know about the interesting history of this neighborhood, which because of the river was the first large industrial area in Chittenden County.  We also work to sustain the plant and animal life that grow so happily in this river environment.
