The Kittery Land Trust's motto is "Saving Land, Building Community".  Not only do we want to protect special places in our seaside town, we want to connect people of all ages to the land.  Our volunteers work tirelessly to steward our properties with invasive species management, habitat restoration, trail maintenance, deer monitoring and more.  We have offer programs in the local schools on vernal pools, hikes for all ages, "Conservation Conversations" speaker led discussions, tree and plant identification workshops, an environmental film festival and other activities throughout the year.  The Kittery Land Trust has forever preserved almost 1000 acres in Kitttery with a one-person staff.  Looking ahead, we aim to strenghten community engagement and local partnership so we grow to become a valuable resource for the town.
