We seek to promote sustainable development, renewable energy and climate change awareness. Our mission is to preserve our Earth for future generations, by empowering citizens and governments to implement sustainable practices and raise awareness. Part of our goal is to help build local and global environmental consciousness through our biweekly newsletter and hosting regular meetings at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. In addition, a current project of ours is to advocate the implementation of a solar field at Manresa Island in Norwalk, CT, an area home to a decommissioned coal plant. We have set forth a proposal to complete the decommissioning of the former plant, and implement a solar array. Assisting in the provision of renewable energy should have an important impact, as it will mitigate fossil fuel emissions, drastically reducing carbon output and providing thousands of homes with clean, affordable energy.
