Our purpose is to... protect all workers including young workers.  ConnectiCOSH Health Tech is a 501(c)(3) non profit sister organization to ConnectiCOSH composed of labor, community health and legal people working together to improve health, safety, and environmental conditions at work sites and in our communities.  While ConnectiCOSH works to unite workers, concerned professionals, and concerned community groups to organize political action for the purpose of reducing hazardous conditions in our workplaces and our communities, ConnectiCOSH Health Tech focuses on providing educational, medical, technical, and legal support to labor unions and other groups of workers fighting for better workplace conditions.  We work with young workers in workforce development initiative programs on various aspects of worker health and safety and would like to focus this leadership development project on minimizing their exposure to hazardous waste not only in the workplace but in the community.  The positive repercussions of such a project for the empowerment of inner city youth, as well as their families, friends and coworkers could be substantial.
