Pine Tree Youth Organizing is a grassroots, youth led and run support and community organizing organization that provides educational opportunities, one on one mentorship, and logistical support to youth organizers. We support youth who are already involved in organizing and those who aren’t yet organizers although would like to be. We offer educational events such as the annual Youth Activism Gathering, and we also partner with other youth led organizations to help support their events. We work with mentor run organizations as well to help folks in their work of supporting youth organizing and empowerment by helping organizations figure out the most effective ways to engage youth. We focus on many issue areas depending on the current youth involved, and these issue areas shift as our youth membership shifts. To our knowledge, we are one of only a small handful of truly youth led and run organizations in Maine.
