Pittsford Village Farm is a community hub dedicated to providing social, cultural, and educational opportunities that address the needs in our community.  The vision of Pittsford Village Farm is to preserve the historic value and beauty of this community farm located in the village center, to provide educational opportunities, to provide spaces for individuals and families to gather and recreate, and to support agricultural and economic development in Pittsford, VT.  Because community engagement is important to us, we focus on offering community-led events, and partnering with established and new community organizations as we work towards reaching our goals.  All of our work thus far has been organized by and for our community, first by offering facilitated community meetings to identify needs in the community, and then by using our community members and volunteers to organize committees to focus on these identified needs.  One need identified was a community garden.  The mission of our community garden committee is to bring our community together to nourish our minds, bodies, and souls, and to promote gardening for life. We want to build community through gardening by creating a space for people to come together to grow food and flowers, with a focus on multi-generational sharing of ideas, educational opportunities for our kids, and promoting access to fresh produce in our community.
