Our Purpose
Our purpose is to expand Environmental Education: Environmental Education has always been a focus of NH Audubon—it’s what we do best. In fact, it’s one of the things that differentiate NH Audubon from other environmental organizations in New Hampshire. Our Centers are designed with an emphasis on environmental education and introducing people to nature and the local ecology. In the case of Paradise Point Nature Center, there are three marked trails for visitors to enjoy, and the Nature Center building houses a variety of interactive exhibits and live animal displays which emphasize environmental education and illustrate the local ecology of the Newfound Lake area.In an effort to teach more children and adults about the importance of the environment and this place, we seek support to expand our months of operation to include May, June, all of September, and October. Doing so will allow NH Audubon naturalists to engage more school children on site and in classrooms. It will also allow for more opportunities to collaborate with local environmental partners like the Newfound Lake Region Association.
