Our formal Mission Statemen is: The Vermont Affordable Housing Coalition (VAHC) is a dynamic statewide partnership dedicated to uniting people in a movement for safe, accessible, quality, and perpetually affordable housing. We accomplish this through advocacy, education, and outreach.VAHC is currently focusing on the sentiment that we are here to "unite people in a movement." This is the true core of our mission. The most important faces in this movement are those that are historically underserved, underrepresented, or otherwise unheard. We want to amplify the voice of Vermonters who are in the BIPOC, low-income, LGBTQ, or new American communities.
