Our purpose is to raise awareness in Portland neighborhoods of the consequences of climate disruption and to moblize citizen participation in taking practical steps that contribute to climate mitigation.  We work with the City Council and the city government to influence their climate mitigation policies and procedures.  We work in Portland neighborhoods encouraging tenants to take simple, inexpensive steps to become more carbon neutral, and encouraging landlords to make significant property improvements which reduce their energy use and carbon emissions.  The project in question is to do door-to-door canvassing and mount an an ambitious promotional campaign focused on stimulating public discussion and action.  Our future depends on it.
