The purpose of our project extends beyond the school purpose:Our purpose is to create opportunities for students and community members to engage with each other and their unique environment and place through real projects in the classroom and outside in the Katahdin Region.We strive to create an engaged public that feels ownership and responsibility for their community and the land surrounding it.  We accomplish this through a regional place-based learning initiative with the common goal of making the world a classroom through real projects and fostering/cultivating the next generation of stewards and citizens in the Katahdin Region.
