Our purpose is to move our community towards becoming more zero waste oriented; to create opportunities for citizens to do something better with their waste, particularly food waste; to educate about resource recovery; and to recognize the value of interdependence with all life, including with the many materials we use everyday.Our current project is to make available in our town more green cone food digesters as an option for citizens to divert food waste/scraps from the mainstream waste outlet.  We want to have more educational programs around this particular topic, share information with our city from a green cone pilot program started 7 years ago, and inspire interest and desire in citizens to recognize the impact our food waste has on the larger environment.
