Our purpose is to...advocate, educate and research toxic chemicals that come from a variety of sources, i.e. environment, food, cosmetics, health care, etc. We share this info on our Facebook page regularly too.Our primary focus is the health conscious cleanup of the New Bedford Harbor Superfund Site.Over the past 2 years, we worked with BU and the University of Iowa on an air monitoring project on PCBs around New Bedford Harbor. We recruited 18 hosts for the air monitors, gathered the foam discs at regular intervals, sent them to the University of Iowa for analysis and just released the results through a press conference. The next step is that BU will complete a risk assessment by early summer which we'll also share with our community.
