Our Purpose

The Indigenous People's Network, (IPN), Pocasset Pokanoket Land Trust (PPLT), farming groups and environmental organizations educate to increase indigenous culture and land sovereignty. As the first people of these lands we have a duty to our children to restore and teach our Native Aboriginal ways of life that will re-establish the mind, body and spirit as we work on Land Sovereignty and our Environmental climate balance to light a fighter for the world.Governance: We are all native people from different places North (Turtle Island), Central and South America and also natives from other continents that live in RI and MA. The Indigenous People’s Network assists in the administration, technical training, fiscal management, program oversight, and organizational development. This assistance allows affiliate projects to fully participate in community-based organizing efforts and direct-action campaigns. We have a tribal clan leadership structure. We are "living well" in harmony with each other & with Mother Earth, rather than “living in fear,” on an economic system of unlimited growth, dominance & exploitation. The international Indigenous Peoples Justice movement & all peoples struggles for freedom, self-determination & dignity within their communities.
