Our Purpose

Our goals are to engage people to contribute and maintain clean and safe jogging trails and to help people understand diabetes and cardiovascular risk factors and how they are related to environmental health, and land preservation. We identify communication and knowledge gaps and focus on educating our community to fill those gaps using lay language and a culturally sensitive approach in a pressure-free environment.  We encourage nonpolluting habits and awareness of the impact of air pollution on asthma through population education. We also stress the importance of the preservation of open spaces through our collaboration with other stakeholders whose mission is the preservation and conservation of open space, including farm and forest land, and the natural resources located thereon, primarily in the towns of Easton, Weston, Fairfield, and Westport, and New Haven for the benefit and education of the public.
