Our purpose is to develop a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution for managing food and garden scraps for the Derby Elementary School community, and be able to utilize these materials for the health of our school garden. By intertwining classroom education and onsite practice, we will start a small-scale community compost system at school to divert food scraps from the landfill.
