Veggies Care Cooperative has been formed to help connect locally grown produce with members of the surrounding community in need of support and nourishing food.  The idea started in 2015 with donating produce boxes and meals to several friends diagnosed with cancer who were unable to garden during the growing season. It was a means of offering something to the individuals and their families in a time when they were overcome by illness.In 2016 A New Day Farm is starting its first season as a small vegetable farm and will be the growing support for the donation project. They are partnering with Sweet Clover Farm to network with other local growers and nonprofits to channel excess vegetables into the homes that need them. Along with distributing produce to those who's lives have been afflicted by disease, offering educational events and gatherings, together their mission is to help feed and sustain not only by offering some tomatoes and carrots, but the awesome gift of community.
