Wind Hill Community Farm & Learning Center (WHCF) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3)) volunteer-run community farm in its 16th season serving the Glastonbury Community.                          https://windhillfarm.org Our mission is to promote local farming, environmental stewardship, healthy eating, and community education by encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to participate in farming, gardening, and educational programs. We grow healthy produce (no chemicals or pesticides), support diversity and community, promote better health through healthy diet and experiencing nature, provide a community gathering place, support sustainable farming, and advance adult and child education.WHCF has 2 acres of leased fields, a "high tunnel"/ "hoop house", and 29 raised garefenh beds for community gardeners, located within the Town of Glastonbury Longo Open Space. WHCF is "off-grid" with solar-powered well and water pumping system engineered and built by a volunteer to supply drip irrigation to growing areas.Other than limited farm stand sales to raise funds for WHCF, the farm's fresh produce is contributed to the Town of Glastonbury Food Pantry throughout the growing season.WHCF interacts with several hundred community members through its volunteer board, volunteer farmers, raised bed growers, hikes, and educational programs.
