Our purpose is to educate the public about the Massachusetts community preservation act (CPA) so that when our city's participation in it comes up on the ballot again, people can make an informed decision. When it was previously on the ballot many people left that question blank, probably indicating they did not even understand the question or even realize the question was there since it was question 5 and on the back of the ballot, at the bottom. The MA CPA allows the community to get some matching funds from the state  for purposes of  open space and recreation, historic preservation, and affordable housing.
