Our Purpose

The mission of the Bowdoin Organic Garden is to provide a place for learning and reflection about food and our environment through hands on meaningful garden work. In addition to growing organic vegetables, fruit and flowers for use in the Bowdoin’s top-rated, independently run dining halls, the Bowdoin Organic Garden aims to provide agricultural experiences for students, research projects for faculty and opportunities for students to engage further with the greater College community and the local food movement.
