Our purpose is to promote energy consciousness within our community and reduce energy consumption as a result.  First, we examine municipal practices and buildings and find ways to improve energy efficiency.  Second, we promote efficiency within the community through various forms of outreach.  Some examples are promoting efficiency, solar power and community energy projects such as solar arrays or studies regarding a distributed wood heat plant.  Home weatherization workshops and financing workshops are examples of our outreach programs.  An Energy Expo is a regular event that we have been promoting.
