to start a school garden to foster connections. We will be running this as an activity period several times a week, 12 months a year, into the summer school program. We want students to learn about their connection with local food and their health. As well, we want this to foster new friendships, support the school lunch program, and eventually support the needs of our community. As this grows, we want to teach the students about year-round local veggies and invest in perennial fruits and veggies.
