To foster a sense of community and unity, offer a platform for neighbors to discuss issues and concerns affecting them and the surrounding community, provide a collaborative forum to tackle problems and formulate solutions and ways ahead. Niche committees have been formed to address community cleanliness and networking and assistance. The latter provides a variety of services to neighborhood persons in need and is looking to build and maintain a community garden in 2014 to provide a unifying venue for folks to meet at, give back, and to help those households who are in need and would benefit from fresh, healthy, and sustainable food.
