The purpose of the group is to revitalize a damaged urban site and turn it into a nature sanctuary where people in the neighborhood and travelers can enjoy a peaceful environment in a busy area. There are many volunteers from the neighborhood and local schools who have helped clear the it and plant new native trees and flowers. The community is supportive, appreciative, and aware.
