The group of neighbors from Cape Verde, now living in the Dudley neighborhood in Roxbury (MA), gardens together and also strives to beautify the urban landscape and create healthy public spaces in the city. Several members of the group knew each other in Cape Verde prior to relocating to Boston, so the gardening community helps them maintain their culture and connection to each other as well as to relatives and friends in Cape Verde.
