Our Purpose

The Schools Association for Agro-Forestry and Biodiversity (SAAB) is envisaged to be an expandable group of scientists, teachers, agriculturalists, and mentors of youth who wish to create opportunities for research, study, entrepreneurship, and lifetime careers in the interlocking disciplines of agro-forestry and bio-diversity. The founders of SAAB believe that many students with ambitions to lead social change will be choosing this study area as fundamental to surmounting the major plights of our planet, namely the interconnected problems of food, health, energy, water, climate change, and loss of species, in addition to jobs and income. Our core group is targeting the leading boarding schools of New England because we believe that the teachers and students of such schools will be the natural leaders of the SAAB movement.
