to give North Berwick citizens, including students, an opportunity to grow plants in a healthy, cooperative environment. Several of the raised beds will be designated as food pantry gardens. The produce will be donated to the Maine Harvest for Hunger program, specifically, the No. Berwick Food Pantry. Several other beds will be planted by classroom teachers from the No. Berwick Elementary School incorporating related science, math, health, and other curricula topics with this project. The remaining beds will be rented to residents. Gardening workshops will be offered to the public with the help of the local Adult Education.
