The Center for Student Coastal Research (CSCR) is a non profit organization dedicated to training and engaging students in water quality monitoring and coastal research projects. CSCR's goal is simple- train students to produce data that can meet the rigors of professional scientific review. When done properly, student work supports municipal objectives of monitoring and assessment of critical habitats. State and federal agencies are then able to incorporate locally collected data into their management decisions. Conceptually, CSCR has been created connect students with watershed investigations, management, and implementation.
